Excellent, excellent Korean dishes. The seafood rice hotpot was delicious, full of seafood flavor and generous amounts of shrimp, mussels, and squid. Side dishes variety (6) were wonderful to compliment our entree. Seafood pancake was wonderful. Fantastic service. We'll definitely be back soon.
I love this place! This was my first experience with traditional Korean fare and they did not disappoint. Spicy rice cakes were the perfect kind of sweet and spicy. Most entrees are enough to share!
I thought the food was great, seemed fairly authentic, get a lot of food for your dollar. Husband with Korean mom thought it was just okay. I liked it more than Gaza
10/10
Fantastic authentic Korean food with good service and nice staff.
Calm atmosphere, perfect for anyone to grab a seat and eat.
Cannot recommend enough.
I always come to KIMCHI several times per week. They always provide good Korean foods and probably the best in the Lafayette area. Servers are usually polite, however, sometimes they're reluctant to provide side dishes. For example, last time they serve me side dishes without questions when I ordered a lunchbox, but today when I asked for side dishes (first time, not refill), the server still gave me but said they actually do not provide side dishes for lunchbox. It confused me and made me upset.
First, as a customer, I do not want to beg for anything other than what I deserved. Second, I think it's kind of a custom of Korean restaurant for providing side dishes and reasonable refills in my previous experience (I'm not a Korean so maybe I was wrong). Third, the most important thing, if you do not want to offer side dishes, then don't do it. Stop make your customers feel you are patronizing for providing side dishes.
I do like this restaurant and hope they could make some changes to improve it. It will be helpful if they put a note on their menu about which entrees comes with side dishes and which are not. Good luck KIMCHI.
