Great prices and was delicious. Now my favorite sushi place. If you don't like seafood or raw fish, check out the other dishes and the bowls. Took my daughter who hates seafood and look at this Wagyudon!! Steak on rice with egg.
One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at!
The service was great and staff was super friendly, the food was nothing but excellent and extremely fresh! While the Wagyu is market price, all the food is worth it!
I was not seated in the honeycomb section, but it did look amazing. When you walk in to see how the huge bonsai tree made of wooden plates.
No, I don’t like sushi, but they had so many other foods. I found something I loved!
For drinks, they also had all kinds of teas and sodas!
I know I will be going back here!
Holy moly, this sushi is 🔥🔥🔥! Probably the best in Lafayette/West Lafayette. Food comes out fast, too! Our only complaint is the waitress. Not very friendly, she walked away while we were in the middle of telling her what we wanted to drink. She took forever to come take our food order. The restaurant didn't appear super busy, so we aren't sure what took so long. We also ordered a dessert to go. When she came back at the end of the meal, she asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. I said no, thanks, we'll just take the one that we ordered to go. She gave me a funny look and came back with the check & no dessert. But we weren't charged for it either, so 🤷♀️. Regardless, we'll be back. The food and atmosphere is that good! ❤️
We came in as a group and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their experience here. Nice ambience. Good variety, quantity and quality. Service could be quicker.(one of our friends only got their food after all of us finished ours, so maybe serving everyone at the table at once might work better for a group). Their cakes are from Mango Mango fyi but are handled good.
During my recent visit to Sakanaya in West Lafayette, I was immensely impressed. The restaurant beautifully blends modern and traditional Japanese decor, creating an inviting and authentic atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with staff who were both attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the sushi – each piece was a testament to freshness and quality, prepared with skill and care. The flavors were balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. Sakanaya is a must-visit for anyone in West Lafayette looking for an authentic and memorable Japanese dining experience, particularly for outstanding sushi.
