“Stopped in late last night on our way back home from vacation just to grab a drink and wait out the storms. Ended up ordering food as well just because everything smelled so good and we were glad we did! Killer grilled fish tacos, good chips, salsa, and guac, and super fast and friendly service. We've lived in Iowa our whole lives and hand never need to (or even heard of?) Adair but if you find yourself passing through Fuego is absolutely worth a stop!”

“Hometown diner with a retro vibe. Except for the prices..... They have a huge menu for such a small place. Burgers, wraps, loins, daily specials like hamballs, fried chicken, taco salads, also all kinds of fried foods, and of course- ice cream! You can get about any ice cream combo you can imagine. I have tried a lot and they are all good! Staffed mostly by teenagers so expect longer wait times and spotty service. It is what it is. Kudos to them for giving lots of kids their first job. It's a little pricey in my opinion. Not insane and maybe not even something they can change. Just my opinion. Regardless I will eat there again and again as long as I am alive! Glad to have them in business in a small town.”

I think McDonald's has relaxed their standards for the outside area but this store takes pride in their store. The inside was just as clean. They employed a number of young people, which is what this job was intended for! Way to go manager!”

“Just Passing Through And Came Across This Gem Of A Place.. I Ordered The Country Skillet With Pancackes Topped With Their Baked Apples, Apple Crumble, And Milk... Everything Was Fresh, Hot, Good And Filling - Something I Appreciate More In My Travels.. Only A Few Minor Things Though.. No Salt or Pepper Packets To Go (No Biggie, I Used The Pepper Before I Left).. But the Apple Crumble Came With Vanilla Ice Cream. And Since It Was A Take Out Order, The Ice Cream Should've Been Packaged Separately From The Warm Crumble, Because It Was All Melted By The Time I Walked Back To My Vehicle.. FYI- It Was Good But I Know It Could Have Been Better.. Other Than This, If I Find Myself In This Neck Of The Woods Again, I Will Certainly Be Back For Another Shot At The Apple Crumble.. “Great service and food. Owners are very kind and have owned this since 1972. We stopped by on a Saturday. The owner was running the place and they seemed to have a lot of customers that day. We happened to stop by right after a customer rush during a lull. The sundaes were delicious with real fruit. The owner had some time to talk and told us about local attractions and very helpful. We'll definitely stop there again when we're in the area. One note: the bathroom is not handicap accessible as the entrance is less than 2 feet wide. There is a gas station right next door that is handicap accessible.”
