“This place is great. It reminds me of the old "LeDucs" in the village of Wales, Wisconsin. Lamont Dairy Sweet is situated on Iowa Hiway 187 in the little historic town of Lamont, Iowa. The food is wonderful and get this, THEY MAKE MALTS TO ORDER. How cool is that? You can order a rib sandwich or a steak. Dining is outside or in your car. This is the kind of place that makes aimless cruising fun. Iowa needs more of this, so when I find this kind of place I get excited. This a cool cheap dinner with the girlfriend, wife or both if you are daring. If I could have given it 10 stars, I would. UPDATE: LAMONT DAIRY SWEET SEEMS TO BE BETTER THAN BEFORE!! My wife and I visited Lamont Dairy Sweet today and it was wonderful. When the question, "Is this Heaven (?)" was asked, the answer should be, YES. HEAVEN IS LAMONT DAIRY SWEET!! We had Steak Sandwiches that were out of this world. Great people, totally wonderful food. Thank you LAMONT DAIRY SWEET.”

“Great experience! Friendly service that is hard to find these days. Chips were hot, salsa was flavorful. The cheese dip also came hot and flavorful as well. We shared a tamale and Hawaiian chicken. Both were delicious! Again, so much distinct flavor--not standard Mexican fare. The salsa bar is great, too. Help yourself to a variety of salsa, sour cream, cheese, a corn salad that was excellent, and fresh cilantro, onions, and limes. All complimented our meals. The rice wasn't my favorite but I liked the beans. They were getting quite busy as we were finishing our meal. Lots of close parking out back. We'll definitely come again.”

“Brand new brewery! They have a variety of brews that any beer lover will enjoy. The taproom is gorgeous with refinished wood flooring, exposed brick walls, and barn tin ceiling. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I made sure to take home a few cowlers so I could enjoy their beer at home too. There is also a large outdoor patio that overlooks a river. When the weather is warmer I am sure the patio will be a coveted location to find a table at.”

“I decided to ride my motorcycle to Independence, Iowa and have lunch. Decided that Pizza Ranch was the best venue as one teenager needed to get to school. There was 7 persons 3 senior discount and a 5 year old child that we paid per weight. My niece wanted to pay for my meal. "Uncle Tim ! You drove the 230 miles, so I'm buying!" I smiled, " I am paying for all today!" Heather then said...'This in Uncle Tim's Retirement party and he is paying for it?" Great food but forecast of hail and heavy rains so I figured that I have 230 miles home. There was an older man making balloon animals s nice touch for the kids. Clean Restrooms also a plus”

“A nice cozy little hometown Cafe that had a breakfast buffet on Sunday, and for the price of $8.95 it was definitely worth every penny. No need for anything fancy on this buffet, just your standard comfort food for breakfast done right. Bacon, sausage, eggs, ham, french toast, and pancakes that have a little something in the ingredients I couldn't quite place but WOW were they good !!! ( possibly Farm Fresh Buttermilk instead of store bought ? ) Also, let's not forget The ever popular, biscuits & gravy. The biscuits were light & fluffy and the gravy wasn't too thick or too thin, but could have used a little more salt and pepper in the mix for my preference, but then again I really like my seasonings... If you don't want to partake in the breakfast buffet, one of the other items I saw ordered that day at our table was a Belgian Waffle with Strawberries and Whipped Cream. I can honestly say that was the most perfect Belgian Waffle I had ever seen. It was clearly homemade ( definitely no Eggo !!! ???? ), The color was perfect, and it was sizable - appearing to be over 1" thick, and probably somewhere close to ( maybe ) 8-9" in diameter. Unfortunately, I can't review the flavor or texture because I didn't get a bite of it, but the other person at our table seemed to enjoy it. Arianna's even has a full bar secluded in a separate room from the cafe area, which is actually where the breakfast buffet was set up. This is easily accessed by a standard open doorway, which would keep the noise from either side separate from each other. The servers were pleasant and professional, but not overly or fake friendly, like you get it some chain restaurants or banks like Wells Fargo. More importantly their service was timely, and they seem to work very well as a team. As for their ability to seat larger groups, this is a small place set up to be cozy. The layout only allows for probably 2 groups of somewhere up to and no larger than 12-14 in the cafe side. If and only if they have the additional seating available they could possibly set up one more group of that size in the bar, but if it's Game Day this option will probably not be available. Gotta keep the regulars happy. Sorry, no photos, I was too busy eating and looking at food...”
