I had friends from Atlanta who I really wanted to impress. They loved the food, the wine, the decor, etc. But the very first thing the Quarry did was lose my reservation. I was embarrassed in front of my guests and didn't feel there was any regret in the staff's "sorry about that." They were busy but I would've appreciated a little sincerity. A very nice dining experience, otherwise. I will definitely bring guests here again.

We ate at the Quarry on 8-5-19 and got there around 6:00 o’clock in the evening. We finally received our meal around 7:30. That is the only reason they received 4 out of 5 stars.

The food was fantastic, hot, and extremely flavorful! The grounds were clean as well as the restaurant itself. We started outdoors but were forced inside due to a thunderstorm.

Compared to many restaurants, seating indoors is somewhat limited. The restaurant opens at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon and begins with an appetizer menu only. Full food service begins at 5:00 o’clock.

There is always something to sit on outside if you don’t mind the weather. Finally, the food is expensive. For example, my seared duck breast was $26.00. Plan on spending a $100.00 or more for a group of 4 assuming each has a middle of the road meal and a drink. We each had water (no cost) a shared appetizer and our 3 meals with mine being the most expensive and we spent a little more than $60.00.

Expect expense, a wait for your food, but a very delicious plate.

The wait staff were cordial and inviting. We did not use the facilities, so I cannot report on that.

We have not been the The Quarry in a long time as we felt that the service had gone down quite a bit (we used to be regulars).

I must admit that our experience last night was a welcome surprise. The food was amazing (as usual), and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and seemed to actually want to be our server.

Our only knock on the experience was our disappointment with our cheesecake. Rachel's cheesecake used to be what we all looked forward, but the quality seemed to not be there. Perhaps she's not making them anymore.

Cheesecake aside...amazing experience. We will be coming back again.
