“It was Saturday, May 4th, 2024. My son and I are training to ride the Katy Trail. This is our first time bike packing and we chose the Raccoon River Valley Trail for our maiden voyage. We had just completed the detour between Redfield and Linden (the trail was being being replaced with new concrete). We arrived in Panora and saw Pedal-in. It was 2:58pm when we made it to the door. On the door is a sign "closing at 3:00 pm". We walked inside and asked how firm the time was because we had ridden from West Des Moines and had planned on eating here. A woman stated that she did not mess with cyclists and that she would feed us. It was our lucky day. We both had a cheese burger with curley fries and it was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing with a modern yet 50's feeling. Highly recommend visiting this establishment. Thank you for caring for the cycling community. I hope you know how much we appreciated your establishment and especially you and your staff for feeding the two of us. This stop in our adventure is one of the best highlights that we talk about and tell others about.”

“This rating is based purely on customer service. I had never been to Prime Time (or Guthrie Center) before today so I decided to try this place out. With the COVID-19 restrictions in place, management has had to do a lot more cleaning. There was only one lady taking care of everyone in the lobby, and, even though she never had a chance to catch her breath because of answering the phone or sanitizing tables or helping customers such as myself, she always had a smile on her face and made her customers feel welcome. This place definitely provides hospitality!”

“My husband and I went for a road trip today to see a part of Iowa we had not seen before. We asked a family on the street where a good place to eat was, and it being a Sunday, they suggested the Cabbage Rose. Immediately we fell in love with the hometown restaurant. They have 5 or 6 different main dishes, a potato choice, a vegetable of the day, a salad bar that has lots of choices, hot rolls and beverages all for a very reasonable price. The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic. If you come thru on a Sunday at lunchtime, make it a plan to stop.”

“Best Tenderloins in Central Iowa. My family will occasionally drive from Des Moines to PJ's to have Tenderloins for lunch, they are that good. It's not the super smashed flat tenderloins that have very little meat in them. Perfectly balanced meat to breading ratio that has juicy pork in every bite. Curly fries are a nice addition to the menu and soft serve ice cream is very tasty. Super friendly staff.”

“It is now Mickey's and it has the menu from the old Otley Cat in Perry. Fantastic food and service, and carrot cake! Ruthie on tap is a bonus. We're there at least once a week.”

“This place was AMAZING!!! My gf wanted to try the tenderloin. It was HUGE. I tried some and it was one of the best I've ever had. I got the hot ham and cheese. It was exactly what I want out of a hot ham and cheese. The ranch was good. The staff was very friendly. We will for sure be back. It was more than worth the 40 minute drive. I also saw the grinders being delivered to a table and they looked great as well.”

“This is a great place. The folks that run it and work there are friendly and professional. The lunch specials are like your favorite thing your mom makes so are the home made desserts. The Friday night fish fry is very good. Then the live music starts. We love it. Sunday brunch is fantastic. Hope they open again soon.”

“Cute little ice cream shop, newly opened in Casey, IA. The girls behind the counter were friendly, ice cream is delicious and they have awesome homemade waffle cones! It is a small shop with limited seating inside, but there is additional seating out back, plus benches out front. They are reasonably priced, definitely budget friendly for a nice family treat!”
