Clinton Street Social Club

This place was absolutely awesome. They have a full cocktail menu and plenty of spirits for you to choose from. They have fresh oysters that are just out of this world, would highly recommend. Staff is dressed to the 9s and they are welcoming and very friendly. Highly recommend making a stop here

Clinton Street was great. I've been wanting to come visit for years now after stumbling across it looking for good cocktail spots in the state. The staff and management were all phenomenal people. I can't say enough good things about them. The cocktails were stellar. We started with the oysters and some house cocktails off the menu that were all exceptionally done. Later, the bartenders and staff brought out a few different individually customized cocktails for us to try and they were all impressive and spot on. The burger was exceptional. Salmon cakes were solid. All in all I really loved my visit and glad I was able to make it happen. I am very grateful for my experience and they way were treated by everyone at Clinton Street. Highly recommended if you're looking for a laid back atmosphere with first rate cocktails, great food, and even better people to be around. Thank you and best of luck to you all!

I've been here a couple times before, but never had a chance to try their food.
Fantastic. Appetizer of hush puppies came with a wonderful dipping sauce, and my entree of fish and chips (with the option of malt vinegar as a dressing, which is a must) was incredible. And as always, drinks second to none. Murderer's Row is always a nice way to get acquainted with some less common or pricey whiskeys you won't find most places, and Wednesdays they play a healthy dose of Tom Waits. I've never felt out if place here, dressed up or dressed down. What's not to love!

It’s hard to believe a place like this exists in Iowa City. The bartenders are superbly creative and knowledgeable. Whether you’d like a recommendation for a whiskey straight up or a suggestion for a cocktail that fits your style, they’re on point every time. Great atmosphere and a cozy feel. Much recommend. Very class.
