Thai Spice

Our favorite Thai restaurant in this part of Iowa. Great fried tofu. We also love the clay pot tofu cooked in mushroom broth.

I have been here twice now. My first experience was a 5 star. Food and service was excellent. Second experience was not as good. Food was ok and when ordered extra veggies I ended up with a ton of cabbage and that was it.

First time to this establishment. Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. The wait staff friendly. The atmosphere relaxing. This is a small restaurant so the seating is limited. But we were seated right away. We arrived at 6:45 p.m. Beer and wine are served but we opted for water. I ordered the fish cake appetizer. 4 on a plate. It was delicious. My friend ordered Pad Thai with beef and I had the Crabmeat with curry and vegetables. Mine came with white rice. Both dishes were excellent. We ate as much as we could and brought home the leftovers. I highly recommend this place. It was a little hard to find but worth finding.

Good Thai food, kind of pricey however. I've been to other Thai restaurants that are just as good or better and don't charge as much. Still worth going to/trying, it is good, but not amazing (I've had a variety of dishes on the menu). I don't go here frequently, I would if prices were a little lower probably. But it can also be a more infrequent special treat because the higher quality of ingredients/price which I can live with. Atmosphere is pretty nice, I liked the decor, and staff was friendly.
