“Five stars. Would give six if i could. This is my absolute favorite place in the world. My home and my escape from the real world. Donnelly’s is the most magical place in all existence and I have devoted my life to finding a better bar, and have failed. This is it folks, the best of the best. Staff = amazing. Booze = amazing. Food = amazing. Their kitchen manager, Dan, is the best chef in the entire world and if I become rich and famous I will force him to be my personal chef. The service is outstanding. Each and every one of their bartenders and servers are top notch. The only negative about this place is they got rid of the hot Thursday server. Heard she got a modeling gig in paris or is in a movie or something really cool. Anyways, Donnelly’s is the best place on earth and if you’re not there yet stop reading, drop your phone, tablet, or computer, and go to Dons!”

“We happened upon this quaint little spot while looking for a brunch spot on a trip back to Iowa City. The place was exactly what we were hoping for! For those who know food in the area, they know bluebird diner as a staple for good food and a solid, slightly eclectic atmosphere that just feel right- same owner, new digs, same sweet vibe! The decor is modern and whimsically rustic, with a slight upscale feel with being pretentious. It’s surprisingly hard to get but they do! Everyone is laid back and knows about the food which makes ordering easier. The brunch cocktails were blow us away good - my better half had a Parasol and I had Milk Punch. This was the first time I’ve felt the breakfast drink really complimented the meal and wasn’t just a “well l, we’re on vacation so...”. The food was nothing short of phenomenal! We had a lodgers special - layers hash browns, sausage, pimento cheese, runny eggs and tomato gravy - sound like heaven? It was! Pair it with the best biscuit we’ve had this decade and you’ve got yourself a complete breakfast! The chicken biscuit, also with aforementioned biscuit, was equally amazing - a little honey and hot sauce on that chicken and your mouth is having a party where the colonel may show up! The kiddos shared some French toast with coconut curd - note to you - get the coconut curd! A total feast for 5 of us with brunch drinks was like $50 and we left satisfied and talking about the dishes for a couple days. This is a new favorite and a place that should be frequented by anyone who loves brunch, breakfast, weekends, friends and a sunny day!”

“I have been in there a couple of times to eat. I have also ordered food to go and every time the food is fresh, hot and flavorful. I like being able to add my favorite ingredients to my burrito. My favorite dish is the chicken naked nacho's... aka, chips on the side. Hate when my chips get soggy. You get a large portion of food so it's a great value as well. I usually get 2 to 3 meals out of 1 burrito. I heard their breakfast burrito is awesome too. Haven't tried that one yet. Enjoy!”

“Soseki is a stellar little place that has absolutely delicious sushi, in perfect portions, at a fair price. It's been my go-to for sushi over the last few months, and it's easy to reach by foot from anywhere close to downtown. On top of that, the place always has a clean, bright, and gentle atmosphere. “This was one of the greatest hotel stays I've ever had. It was just me and and my 6 year old and we had a blast. We explored this unique hotel, when strolling down the strip behind it and enjoyed dinner at Gene's, the hotel's restaurant. Not only was everything reasonably prices, but delicious. The room was immaculate and so so so so comfortable. The only downside was there was no real game room to speak of and the pool is permanently closed.”
