Chophouse Downtown

Had gotten it to go once when they first opened and it was very good. Decided to go for my birthday to try out other menu items, it was a solid choice. Wide menu selection. The food and appetizers we got were very good, the cocktails were fun. Sweet potato fries come with a marshmallow sauce which was a nice touch. Definitely feels like it is a unique place. Our server Lindsay was very attentive, patient and friendly!

It did get kinda loud but that did not ruin my experience. One of those things that might not really be in the restaurant’s control.

Excellent service very friendly. Atmosphere was fun and positive. We had the pretzels and cheese app. Delectable! Then had the jumbo shrimp with baked potato soup and tenderloin delicious!!!!! And COTTON CANDY TOWER for dessert. Loved it definitely coming back!

Chophouse Downtown did not disappoint! The food was amazing and full of flavor! My steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were a perfect pair. Having a bread bowl available for the soup was a nice touch compared to most places who just have regular bowls. Jon provided great service and the owners were so nice and personable. I can't wait to come back and try more off of their menu. Thank you for bringing a new spot with great food, better service, and a fun experience to Cedar Rapids, Iowa! (it was definitely needed)

The food was very good! I had the lemon chicken breast. The sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dipping sauce was SO good. I pigged out and had no room for dessert. Definitely coming back soon!

We were wowed by every aspect of our dining experience. The staff and servers made our family feel welcomed, and made excellent suggestions on menu items to try. Their homemade biscuits and apple butter come with every meal and were a fun surprise. Both kids and adults had plenty of dinner choices and we were so full that we had to decline on dessert. Thank goodness for second chances! We’ll leave room next time!
