Perfect little Barbeque place. Food was very reasonably priced, and we'll flavored. Large selection of craft beers, and a very nice atmosphere.
Love the Small Town/ hole in the wall charm of this place, I will definitely be returning the next time I am in Mount Vernon!
We visited this place last Wednesday as part of our "bike night " schedule. It's an old house that has been converted into a restaurant and brewery. The owner and his wife were very cordial. There were over 10 of us in the small dining area, but she pushed some tables together and was able to serve us very efficiently. The food was good and reasonably priced. The beer was tasty and, since it was brewed down in the basement, very impressive. I would definitely come back again.
Love their BBQ! The only critique I ever have is that the food is not hot (temperature wise). I like seeing the steam roll off my food. The food is always warm don't get me wrong, just a personal preference.
No pulled pork when we got there so minus 1star for that. But the the ribs were Excellent. Nice sauce to go on top of soft ribs. Half chicken was excellent. Baked beans were better than average. Greens were surprisingly Good. Potato salad is different. Food is 5star, service was good, setup is unique, but definitely worth a visit if you are out of town. I'm not a local but I feel like this place could be a gold mine if marketed the right way
I absolutely love this place! You won't find better Sausage, burnt ends and pulled pork. Cole slaw and potato salad are the best sides you are going to find in any restaurant guaranteed. My kids really like the greens. Owners are great to deal with. One thing I don't understand is why the house is not packed every night? Eat there
