“What a lovely addition to Winterset. We didn't make reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. Heather was very attentive and made conversation. I had the blueberry bash martini it was really good. We also had the crab ragoon dip, yum is all I can say. For our meals, we had salmon with lemon dill and lemon garlic green beans and chicken with Brussels & rice. All in all I would say it was a great experience and the food was really good not too much but not too little. Oh, and I can't forget the carrot cake & chocolate cupcake! 😋”

“Went to the Mama Tried show in Milwaukee this past weekend. DBD had a “Future Biker On Board” sticker for sale. When I went to pay he asked how far along we were. We told him 8 months. He then told us to just take it for no charge. Given it was just a sticker, it sure says a lot about the company and the owner. Definitely a stand up generous owner. Will definitely be purchasing merch in the future. As small of a gesture as it was, it made our weekend. Thank you.”

“Talk Shop was a new experience for me. I play gigs at similar places in Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and western Illinois. I was treated like family the instant I walked in the door. The food was outstanding (LOVED the chicken strips). As a performer, they were very accommodating and cordial. The clientele was well cared for by the staff, and everyone had a great time! “First time here and out whole group loved it. Walked into the historic shop and was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who helped me right away. We got our order to go, and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. Some of the best fried pickles I’ve had - spears, but in thin slices and so delicious. Highly recommend the adult grilled cheese. All the food was good - the bread tasted very fresh, like it was made that day- and every person in our group wants to visit again soon!”
