Old West Mexican Restaurant

Even with 10 people in line to be seated, the staff fly through seating everyone. The waiter doesn't hesitate to have chips and queso brought immediately. When they ask for your drinks, you won't wait more than 5 minutes tops. The staff will have your order and food at the table within 15 to 20 minutes after you've been seated. The entire wait was pleasant and food was beyond expectations. This is my third visit in 5 years, and I'll be returning more often.

This is the best restaurant. They have excellent service and it is so fast, no matter what time of day or what you order, your drinks stay full and your food comes out hot. The food is yummy. My favorite appetizer is the Mexican guacamole. I also like that the tables aren't on top of each other. I'm a big woman and I can move around easily in the restaurant. Great place for a work lunch because of the speed!

Ate at Old West. First restaurant in Des Moines during my visit. It was recommended by staff at a local hotel. The food was great and very authentic. Margaritas were refreshing and delicious. Service was great. The staff is very responsive. Highly recommend and will be back! Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Ordered the vegetarian fajitas, and they arrived quickly and we're very hot and we'll cooked.

Everything about this restaurant blew me away from the moment I stepped inside until the moment I left. The atmosphere is great--the restaurant decor was great in keeping with an old West theme.

Our server was very friendly and polite. He was also very attentive and made no mistakes. One of the cooks brought our food to us and was very friendly.

The food itself was fresh and delicious. I have eaten at many Mexican Restaurants in my time and the overall experience my wife and I had was top notch.

This restaurant comes highly recommended and I would strongly urge you try this gem out!

At least every two to three weeks, we budget our time and drive over an hour to go to our new favorite Mexican restaurant

I have a family of three and we each have our own individual tastes and favorites. This has been the only restaurant that we have found that has accommodated each of our unique pallets.
When we go there as a family, no one person has to just settle on a menu item. Their diverse menu lets us all pick out our favorites.
