The Green Olive

I don’t normally do reviews, but this place is amazing!! My partner and I ate here prior to a concert, and everything was excellent! We each got the falafel wrap with rice as our side, and both were perfect. We also got the Greek fries covered in feta-mind blowing.
For dessert he got the baklava, it was perfectly crispy on the outside sweet, but not too sweet. I got the cheesecake, and it was fantastic. It was dense and rich, and absolutely delicious.
The service was quick, the servers were kind, everything was extremely affordable.
We will absolutely be going back to the Green Olive. We gave them a 5 star rating and they earned it, 100%.

Tried this place because I was craving a gyro. Read the raving reviews and wanted to try it. Glad we did! Food was delicious! Meal portion was plentiful. Service was great! People were kind and helpful. Prices are decent. The place is small, but worth it! Will definitely be back! My gyro pic with spicy potatoes 😋

I visited this restaurant twice while visiting Des Moines for work. The portions are large, the staff is prompt and courteous and the food tastes amazing! I had the vegetarian platter during my first visit and the salmon gyro during my second visit. The potato wedges with the house green sauce were full of flavor! I didn’t get to try the brunch or fresh juice selection but if I’m ever back in Iowa, I will!
