    Des Moines is known for its large Italian family connections who take pride in expressing their culture through authentic restaurants and deli’s. One such place is a small deli called: A Taste of Italy Grocery and Deli ran by Todd. The people are genuine and know their regulars. My combo of beef, provolone and sausage was awesome. The wait was small and the price was reasonable. A great place to stop and take in an authentic taste of Little Italy!

    Great local, family owned Italian deli and grocery store. Always delicious sandwiches and charcuterie trays.

    Was in the area and was craving Italian food. Only by chance did I find this little shop, but I'm glad I did! The place isn't just a food joint; it's also a small Italian grocery store - which makes the place much more unique. I ordered the "P.I.T.A." which I would recommend. But, based off other reviews here, seems like everything on the menu is recommended!

    I may have left a review before but have no problem doing it again. Hands down the best sandwich shop in town. I mean they are so much more than that but my go to for a sandwich lunch. The people are so friendly and you can tell they care about what they are doing. Love this place. If you haven't been yet, GO!!!
