Absolutely loved our experience here for lunch today. Went with my husband for our date afternoon and we're blown away. The place is an absolute vibe with great decorations and seating options. Tye service was fast. My husband ordered a beer flight and really enjoyed all the beers he tried. I got a hard seltzer which was ice cold and delicious. The Pretzel with sausage, saurkraut, mustard, beer cheese, and little pickles was delicious. We also ordered a jerk chicken sandwich with fries and it was absolutely phenomenal.
We were so impressed with the mustard (lived in Germany for 3 years, trust me we know good mustard) we asked if they sold it. They made arrangements and we were able to take some mustard home with us. That's just great service.
Zero complaints at all and will be back with family and friends.
Such a good option here in Des Moines! Sat on the patio by the fire with some buddies and gave every aspect of their menu a try. Thankful for the waitress who gave me her recommendations to try and even taught me a little about Big Grove's process. A memorable night for both me and my friends.
Great space and solid food and drink. The wait was extremely long for a beer. Maybe they need more staff. A great place. I will probably try it agani, but I did like Lua Brewery a block away a lot more. The team was friendly and just literally waited in line for a beer for 20 minutes. Never experienced that long of a wait--even in London on a Friday at 5pm.
The cheesesteak was the best I’ve had in a while. The staff was nice, and the plants in the middle of the place was actually real, which I thought was pretty cool. I only had one beer which was good. Good place on my trip to Iowa!
Go here. Good food, good beer, kid friendly, great parking. Lots of merchandise in the little shop at the front! Read the front of the menu about their C02 emission and sustainability efforts!! Really neat, roots in Des Moines and proud! Cool place, will be back! Wheelchair accessible also! Great staff! Good music too and a full house! Visited December 2,2023
