Stopped by for an Italian beef and they were sold out! She talked me into the steak burger instead, and i was not disappointed! Highly recommended!

Now this is what I’m talking about!!!!!!!! Portion size is amazing even better than I’ve seen in Chicago and taste like I was back there with every bite. Italian beef was huge and topped with the right type of peppers. And don’t get me started on the soul food menu. I haven’t seen a true rib tip since I left Chicago 5 years ago. The Jerk sauce taste like it came off of 79th street. The oxtails so tender and tasty brought tears to my eyes. The Mac and Cheese, sweet potatoes, and fried cabbage taste like a bunch ole ladies in a black church kitchen had a council and decided to bless this restaurant with the recipe. Congratulations y’all definitely did that!!!!!!!

So long story short this food is the bomb. The flavor is authentic Chicago flavor, nothing you’d find in your local freezer section.

The southern style food is definitely reminiscent of great great grandma down home cooking.

The price definitely matches the portion size . You pay one price and can feed like 2/3 people off one plate.

The staff is always welcoming and accommodating.

If you need an authentic food fix JOPPA EXPERIENCE is the place.

Love, love, love this place! The staff is very friendly & polite, the owners are some of the nicest people and the FOOD is out of this world! I had the Jerk turkey tips with two sides of Mac & sweet potatoes & it was mouth watering! Those oxtail dinners that are served are just as good! I’ve tried everything on the menu & they have the best food for the soul in Iowa!! 5 stars couldn’t sum up this place, give them 10! Highly recommended!
