The BBQ Joint

Awesome smiley service today!

Great place! Food and service are 5 stars. Only gripe i have is they are periodically closed on Fridays.

I probably go to the Local Bites food court three times a week, but have never tried the BBQ Joint. Well I changed that today and now I need to work through their menu.

Ordered the Brisket sandwich with a side of jalapeno corn. The brisket was very tender and the bun was buttered and toasted, simply perfect. However, their spicy BBQ sauce lacked any real kick, but they have hot sauce there, so I will try that next time. I admit I was disappointed with the corn, as I didn't think it was spicy at all or even that flavorful.

The brisket is good enough that I want to go back and try other things on the menu.

Visited The BBQ Joint for the first time today - Ordered the brisket and cheesy potatoes on suggestion from the owner. Both were to die for! The brisket melted in my mouth and had a great smoky flavor. The potatoes cooked perfectly, were not mushy, and just the right amount of cheese. At his suggestion, I mixed the Smoky & Sweet sauce with the Tangy and it was fantastic! The pickle on the sandwich was tasty and I might ask if I can have a few extras on the side next time. So far I've loved everything. The burnt ends are cooked just right, and melt away in your mouth. The Wednesday Wings are some of the best wings in town, and have a nice smokey flavor with the right amount of heat. I'd recommend getting some of their blue cheese dressing to dip them in. The Tuesday Tacos with the homemade slaw are out of this world. Any side you get is done with care for the food in mind, and you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. Top any meal off with a nice slice of homemade sweet potato pie, and you have a lunch that will blow you away.
