The Eggroll Ladies

You have to try this place! We haven't had a bad experience yet. Have I had to wait for egg rolls, yes. Then they were fresh. Why would I complain about that? This place is a family favorite, and we stop in about every week. We love supporting small businesses, and this place is involved in helping out the community. Just stopped by and had a nice chat with the staff, and they are the best. Kind, courteous, and accommodating. If you have large orders plan (and if large enough possibly pay) ahead of time. They aren't your local buffet, they make things fresh, by hand, with their heart and soul, and not an unlimited inventory. Can't wait to stop in again!

A truly legit experience in Vietnamese cuisine, known for serving what have become their "famous egg rolls" from a food truck. The new brick and mortar shop is located at 5548 NW 2nd Ave. # 118, Des Moines, IA. They offer many variations of egg rolls, pot stickers, and crab rangoons which I never knew exsisted. My favorite are the large crab rangoons. The new shop is inviting and clean, and the bathroom is well kept. They offer handicap access, wi-fi, and ample seating. The staff has always been helpful and professional. The owner is a hard working lady who's alway's willing to make sure you have a good experience. She is a Army veteran, currently serving in the national reserve. She has become highly respected for her fund raising efforts, and selfless ways in which she gives back to the local community. They provide catering (cooked and uncooked), take-out, dine-in, as well as veteran discounts. I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed. They are open Wed-Sunday 11am-8pm, and closed on Mon. or Tues.

This is an amazing establishment captained by a service member. I ordered take out after take outs and have not been disappointed. The food is delicious and so flavorful. The staff is absolutely amazing.

Ordered food early, went to pick it up and it wasn't ready, took awhile and the majority of the food was cold by the time I got it back to work. They had to substitute chicken for pork for my coworkers because the grill wasn't going yet. The spring rolls were kind of thrown together and not really sealed up. I think it could be a weekend day problem and staffing. I will give them another try in a few months and see if things are better.
