Outback typically does not hire managers to run thier establishments. They in turn make proprietors out of excellent experienced Employees.. The proprietor here, Eric Shannon is the best..

if you have not tried Outback restaurants lately, I would highly recommend that you stop by this fine establishment and experience what beautiful service and great food could do for your appetite and attitude in life...

Servers here are always accommodating. It is always pretty busy, except for lunches. The call ahead seating is fantastic. Every host I’ve ever called and arranged seating with has been kind and courteous. Our server always seems to be busy, which makes it easier to understand when we wait a little longer for our bill, a drink from the bar, etc. Those servers bust their butts!

Food is always outstanding. If for some reason it isn’t, they are overly accommodating and fix it right away. The one complaint I do have is that the tables (actual tables) can be a little cluttered and claustrophobic when sat on a busy night but it’s definitely busy for a reason! ;)

Definitely a top 5 choice (dare I say three...) restaurant to visit in Ankeny.

This restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. The music was not loud and the TVs could only be seen in the bar area making it much nicer for conversation with my wife. Our waitress was great. She was attentive but did not hover. The food arrived in good time. A nice evening with my wife ... even though I missed monday night football.

It was amazing the best service ever. Courtney was our waitress an she was excellent at her job. Was timely an remembered everything. Always came back to check on us. Most amazing service an food ever. I love this place.
