Best service ever. First time here and we were given samples to try before ordering a full order since we were unfamiliar with the food items...no other place has done that ever and we have been to many!!! Such nice people and prices are vety reasonable...wish we would have found this place sooner...

What an amazing place. Hands down the best Greek food I’ve ever had. The owner is totally flexible and friendly and will customize your order any way you like. I’d give more stars if I could. Best hummus ever had and you MUST try the lemon orzo soup. Soooooo good! Can’t wait to go back

The BEST Greek restaurant you will ever go to. The owner is also the chef and is from Greece. He makes almost everything from scratch which is RARE! So yummy! Try the lamb chops or the gyro dinner! 10/10

The service is great, the food is fantastic, and it needs more recognition than just a 5 star review! You will not feel like you are in Des Moines when you are here, as it just has a somewhat European vibe on the inside! Would recommend for a date night, or group night out.

A rarity when it comes to restaurants here in Iowa. An authentic Greece eatery in the heart of the East Village.
We are finally at the O of our alphabet restaurant challenge, it's been a challenge in the era of covid.
I ordered the staple gyro dinner meal that came with a colorful salad and chicken orzo soup and my wife had roasted egg plant sandwich with fries along with a side of fried zucchini slices with tzahki sauce.
Both of these meals were delicious and worth going to. I think I would've enjoyed it more if we ate in house instead of ordering takeout.
I will be returning to eat at Olympic Flame, hopefully soon.
