Its more than enough food. Their food is very delicious
I like the food here, very wide variety. More authentic than others in Urbandale, but still very not 100%. They have issues with DoorDash deliveries. They've forgotten some of our food through that app, but other than that when we dine in it's always great!
I went here with a small group and everyone liked what they ordered. The pollo loco is what I had. The cheese sauce was rich and creamy, and the guacamole tasted fresh and was just the right consistency. The service was excellent, even with the restaurant being very busy. The chips with the salsa were still warm when they brought them to the table. One thing to note, one of the people I was with did comment that her margarita was a bit too strong, but there are people who prefer it that way. The portions were so generous we needed boxes to take the leftovers home. Great food, great value!
My husband and I have gone to eat here quite a few times. The food is good for the most part and the staff are pleasant. I think they realized recently that they can save money by putting less avocado in their guacamole and now they fill it with way too much tomato and onion. The ratio is completely off. Unfortunately guacamole is one of my favorite things at a Mexican restaurant so this is beyond disappointing. Otherwise, the food it good. I’ve had a couple situations where they were out of something I ordered and instead of telling me, they substituted without my knowledge. This, too, was disappointing. Other than that our experiences have all been great!
I don't think it is necessarily fair to judge a restaurant on one visit. I've been to this place twice now. The surroundings are pleasant and prices are what you would expect. My first trip there I had cheese enchiladas. I don't eat meat, so my options are limited, and I have had literally hundreds of servings of cheese enchiladas in restaurants from Michigan to California. These were not good. The problem lies in the cheese they use.
Next visit (went because friends wanted to go) I had fish tacos. These were just fine, and I have no complaint. So, what is one to do with determining a numerical score? I just went for the middle.
