    Grew up on authentic Mexican food in CA, and Abelardo's definitely makes the mark! Amazing food at a great price! Also has a drive through, you can't very well beat this in the Des Moines area!

    great place! friendly staff. very cozy. always take our two little boys in and they are very nice at accommodating us. Food is wonderful! bit pricey for Mexican Food, but taste delicious!

    The food was great despite the fast food ambiance. A bunch of drunks from nearby bars made the dining experience less than desirable but that's not entirely the restaurant's fault. A "bouncer" on weekend nights to keep the peace would be a great addition.
