Waterfront Seafood Market

Every visit was never a disappointment. Whether it'd be introducing new friends in town to the restaurant or just normal visit. The seafood is phenomenal, the soup is always great, and the fresh bread to pair with the soup is also an amazing pair. The price range is fair. Would highly recommend.

Matt was our server and he was amazing! I told him right away that I am type 1 diabetic Andy blood sugar was low and he brought me a coke right away. I was able to get stable and we ordered. The food came fast and it was sooooo good! I can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Matt!!

Waterfront has been around for decades and is one of my favorite restaurants. I grew up in New England and there are few options in the Des Moines area for real and fresh seafood... Waterfront is the best! I’m a big fan of the clams and all of the entrees are excellent! Whenever my family comes into town, we make Waterfront our first stop!

Omg if you like upscale seafood, this is the place for you!! I got the crab legs, which were exceptionally tasty. Full of flavor. I also tried sushi for the first time & I loved it!! I like the lower lighting atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and right at home. 5 stars!!!

Service was good, our server wasn't as knowledgeable about the menu as we would have liked, she had to go back and ask questions about pricing and what was in certain dishes. She was very personable and prompt, though. Food was good, but a tad pricey. The garlic bread (with cheese) and chocolate cake were very good, but a tad underportioned. Not a big seafood guy, so I got the steak. The seasoning was mild (not a bad thing.) And the steak was very tender. The rice pilaf was unexpectedly really good, the fries were also very good, did not seem like they were frozen. Overall a good experience, probably wont go back, though.
