“I’m glad to see this business expanding! The new country store is adorable. I had never tried pork rinds until I got the chance to try Perry’s. Now, I don’t need to try any of the other brands because Perry’s Pork Rinds have got to be the best there is! Fresh, crunchy (but not break your teeth hard) & flavorful! They are such a treat! You must try some and check out the store if you’re in Bronson. The store has a little bit of everything: candy, fountain drinks, baked goods, produce and more. They also serve delicious homemade fudge in all kinds of flavors and offer fresh cooked meals for lunch and dinner. There’s something for everyone here!”

“We were actually intending on eating somewhere else today but when we got out of the car we were hit with the most fantastic smell! We didn’t know this place was open yet so we decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly and did a great job. The food was delicious. I loved the sweet potato fries, grilled veggies and fried pickles. The cornbread muffins are fluffy and sweet. Highly recommend.”

But also they working with food that is not as good as it once was and that is the main reason for the 3 stars. I cannot recommend great plains enough! If you are traveling through town make sure to stop and get a amazingly well priced and huge sandwitch you will not regret it! “We have been here a couple of times now. In short, the food is mediocre and the prices are fairly high for what you get. As point of comparison, up in the city, where things are generally more expensive, there is a place we would go to with a much bigger selection of food that tasted as good or better for about the same price or less for our family. There are not a lot of options for food in Fort Scott, which comes with a small town. But I think, for us, we will be choosing Lotus over Hot Wok for our local Chinese craving. For though it is not a buffet, where Hot Wok is the only buffet in town, Lotus is less expensive. Overall, not really that disappointed in Hot Wok. The food was okay. But the prices reflect that of something much better. I give it a solid 3 stars.”

We started with the hummus, thrn my husband had the duck and I had the tips cooked to perfection. So glad we chose to go here. “I am EXTREMELY hard to please as far as my dining experience, I have had some exceptional experiences to compete with. This is one of them. I came at 2pm to catch them off guard. Having never been, I didnt know what to expect. I don't like to base my reviews around predicted traffic, but off raw data, most often off peek hours. The staff all were friendly, talkative and easy to work with getting seated. Taking our order was as expected and despite our server being a younger gentlemen, he for the most part was on point. The food did take quite a while to prepare, however, given times and what we ordered (35$ in food) I understood. It was easy to not focus on it with the amazing chips and salsa they provide. Absolutely delicious. I have never said I'd get full on just chips and salsa, but today, I did. The crunch of the fried chips, the cilantro and garlic pops in that salsa all to create the best chip/dip combo I've had complimentary. Truth be told, I could dine and dash on just those and water.. but it got even better! I was actually deeply surprised with everything I ate. The development of flavors in everything I tried was truly authentic. Lastly, the restrooms were exceptionally clean. Thank you for this. It may not seem that important, but, people notice. Great lunch and will definitely be back. (UPDATE) Have been back maybe 25 times and counting. The best food in town hands down. The staff are absolutely exceptional at making it feel like you just stopped in for a visit with family.”

“We are here for a baseball tournament and wanted to eat somewhere that's been a staple in the community. Nu Grille did not disappoint! Good food, nice people, down home feeling. I have the Philly cheese steak with onion rings and ranch. It was delicious 😋. My son had the jumbo tenderloin and tots. Let's just say nothing was left. “Doing it right at Luther's. It was delicious. We had Luther's Plate. Brisket was tender and juicy and the burnt ends were perfect. Coleslaw, beans and fries were all very good and topped off the meal nicely. Great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when we're in Ft. Scott.”
