“Food is delicious! Almost too much variety, in a good way, covering a lot of bases! Time from order to delivery is heavily influenced by room capacity and waitstaff efficiency. Plate presentation could be better/more consistent. Service is friendly and welcoming. Depending on the crowd, you should expect a friendly face to welcome you and get you started on drinks and your order in a reasonable time frame. However minimum staffing and/or lack of training leaves something to be desired on an ‘off day’. The long time locals make up the majority of regular patrons and most, if not all, of the staff. There is always an opportunity to learn some Kansas history, catch up on the local news or just have a friendly conversation on one’s way through town. The atmosphere at Ele’s Corner is never dull if you enjoy making new connections and taking in some the heartland American vibes. P.S. Recent change of ownership and currently in transition. “We went to the steakhouse with quite a large group of people. Our mood was a little somber, as our extended family was in town for a funeral. Rick, Sophia, and the whole crew did a great job catering to our "needy" family. I guess you could say it made me proud to show off the best restaurant in my hometown to the out of town family members. Thanks for the great dinner!”

“The food and wine downstairs in the basement was fantastic! Huge let down for the bedding. VERY hard mattress and pillows. I even asked for more thinking it would help but it didn’t.. With the window at the top of my door the lights were shining in all night. I barely slept. The place is very historic which I love! The staff were so friendly and accommodating but they need to change the bedding asap”

“Found this place with a Google search for food on a cross country trip. I am really glad we stopped. The food was delicious. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. The beirock was tasty. The Reuben pizza was the star of the show though. I had seen it on the menu online and it had to be tried. I'll just say incredible and leave it that. It's a great little place with good food and a large drink menu. Take the time and turn off the highway you'll be glad you did.”

“Very nice place, in the basement of a historical railroad hotel. In general, loved the place ... the service was kind and attentive, and the "feel" was great. We both had the fried chicken special ... it was good, but not off-the-charts spectacular. It was fried a bit too much, so the breading was very crispy, if not just brown. Good but not great.”

“Gambino's pizza is the most amazing pizza place I've ever been to. Their pizza sauce is extremely rich and if you go with a party, I suggest getting one Pepperoni and one Italian Cheese Stick Pizza. The Italian Cheese Stick Pizza is one of a kind with an amazing cheese sauce and Italian dressing glaze. At least thats what I can assume that's what it is. Even the bowling is great with the fastest return ball lane I've seen. Please if you're anywhere nearby, GIVE IT A CHANCE”
