“They close at 7pm on Thursdays . We were 12 minutes before they closed. Nice place. We ordered chocolate and strawberry sundays but they didn’t have any toppings but whip cream that started melting, two scoops of ice cream one chocolate one vanilla and the other was one vanilla the other strawberry. Really wasn’t a Sunday but the ice cream was good. The lady at the counter was nice even though they were ready to close. Would try to come earlier next time. Definitely come back to try something else.”

“We actually chose Blanco's under the assumption that it was Mexican food! Lol! Imagine our surprise when it was BBQ! But we were not disappointed! The venue had a cool atmosphere. The weather was nice so we sat outside. The service was good and the food was great! We will definitely visit again. The picture I've uploaded is The Sloppy Pig; it was HUGE and delicious!”

“I have had a lot of donuts in my day, but these donuts take the cake...... Each donut is hand crafted in a moist goo..... I love the taste of the moist undercooked goo. Some donuts are glazed but these donuts are blazed in the fiery depths of the nether regions deep down below. You can tell they are hiding something from the health inspector that special sauce that is oh so good.”

“Went to Ottawa's Applebees for lunch recently. I ordered the chicken tenders platter and an iced tea. Tenders were good after l got past the 1/2 inch of breading. The French Fries were not very hot. The cold slaw and tea were delicious. My server was attentive but didn't seem to interested l was there. I would say it was an ok meal but l don't think l would take visitors there to eat. Solid "C".”

“I’m not going to lie and say this is a 5 star hotel, but the service is 5 star. Within minutes of making my reservation, the manager called me to confirm and to make sure everything was good. Check in we easy, manager greeted me and was extremely nice and later on, as I’m sitting on their spacious patio, the manager made an impromptu decision to hang lights for a wedding party that was staying here. He wasn’t asked to do it, he was extremely considerate and did it on his own to make sure when the wedding party came back, they would have nice ambience for their celebration. Complete and total classy move of a classy human being. As a nationally touring stand up comic who has lived out of hotels and motels for the past 20 years, even a place that isn’t “the best@ in the era of pretentious people can become the best by the way they treat their cusyomers.”

“The Environment smelled of grease and crystal meth. I could hardly stand the drive through. However there was a single fatal flaw. I stepped into the restroom. I swear My jaw hit the floor. It was the cleanest public bathroom I’ve ever seen. It could be the lack of customers, it could even be the diarrhea that sets in after they get home. All I knew is that I was in toilet heaven. If I had to choose between an Arby’s burger and a jug of their soap, I would hardly need to make the choice. I’d pick the soap every time. It was simply TOO delicious. I couldn’t help myself. As a word of advice, provide the same service your bathroom gives, but throughout the entire restaurant. “Drive through extremely slow. Fist window was closed so second window did everything. My big Mac was totally cold, one buyer was nearly off the buns as well as the cheese. Folded the cheese over to get it on the bun, lettuce was not fresh by any means. Highlight of my visit was the caramel latte which is better than Starbucks. I could see everyone working hard so don't know what was going on within the store.”

“We moved here a few months ago from the Paola area. Have really been missing Chen's Buffet there. Finally decided to give China Palace a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Lo Mein and Shrimp dinners. Both were really good. Can't say we won't visit Chen's once in awhile however now we have an equally good choice close by!”

“El Mezcal is a good Mexican restaurant near the town square in Ottawa, Kansas. The food is good, the service is fast, and the people are friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. It's a somewhat busy restaurant, but not overly so. The decor includes pictures and scenes of old Mexico. However, it's all brightly colored and I found it a bit distracting. The prices aren't bad. They're slightly cheaper than other Mexican restaurants in the area and the service is better than the other restaurants in the area. We were immediately seated and our food was ready very quickly. The food is great. The only criticism I have is that the rice and beans weren't as warm as I would have liked. Nearly every dish is served with rice and beans, and many are served with guacamole and sour cream. The beverages are pepsi products and they even have a bar.”
