“Gates is one of a few barbeque places in Kansas City that you must go to. They are rightfully well known for loud service at the counter. The service is efficient. The food is excellent. I am partial to their burnt ends sandwich, baked beans and onion rings. The seating is plentiful, spacious and casual. Be very hungry when you go and if you go for lunch, plan to only have a snack for dinner because you won't get hungry.”

“the only reason I give a 3 stars is delivery was as offered.. This use to be my favorite pizza however the last couple of times everything is drowning in grease that even the sauce swims out of.. The loyalty part is a scam as the gained points are here today and gone tomorrow not like most others have to offer.. I have to this date never been able to redeem anything for my loyalty and I use it regularly at work and hme just different locations..”

“We went on a Friday night at 5pm. We did call ahead but they had no record But they did manage to seat us quickly. We had the half order of ribs very good the salmon burger very good and the hamburger very good. I ordered the leg thigh chicken special with onions rings. Shortly after ordering the waiter returned to the table did I order the breast or the leg and thigh?. The order arrived shortly and I had mashed potatoes? He correct the order and brought my onion rings. He was distracted obviously. But considering everything it was a very good meal. Chicken is still very good. I just wish it came cut up instead of one piece.”
