Grand Street Lenexa

2020 has started off with a bang - and another fabulous lunch at Grand Street - a favorite place for me and two chums to discuss communications business. We had SO MUCH to discuss that we were almost there for the start of happy hour...The good news is that we were not undisturbed and were not interrupted...our beverages were filled frequently after our luncheon was served - and of course, I left a hefty tip! What a great meeting place and the revised menus pleased all three of us!

We had a small group attend for Sunday brunch. Several of us got the unlimited bloody marys and mimosas. We had cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, and a large bowl of fruit for the table to share, to start. It was all very tasty. I had the steak and eggs. It was a little over-cooked, but otherwise it was tasty. Everyone really seemed to like their meals. We had an excellent server. She had a great personality, dealt well with our group and group needs, and checked in on us often. The bartender was also great. I needed some special treatment on my bloodys and he was more than happy to help me out. The Bloody Mary mix is made in house and is excellent! You can also switch between the two cocktails. Note the hours if you're going for brunch.

The company I work for books client events at the Lenexa Grand St. location on a regular basis. Last night, our wait staff, Michelle and Shawn, were phenomenal! They knew exactly when to serve, and did so efficiently and quietly as there was a presentation taking place. I was so impressed with their professionalism!

Amazing atmosphere.

Very classic style in the restaurant and welcoming host. Seated immediately, but seemed their was an issue with server’s designated location initially but my friend and I didn’t mind since the menu looked exquisite. When the waiter arrived he provided an overview of the menu and let us know that their menu has just been updated for this fall.
So many amazing menu items that it was hard to chose from. We ended up ordering two pasta dishes - both were absolutely amazing and also split a side of fried Brussel sprouts. Pappardelle which is a sweet corn cream, jalapeño, charred corn, shrimp, basil, and goat cheese and Garganelli which is scimeca’s italian sausage, pepperonata, spinach, basil, Gorgonzola cream, pecorino. After a delicious meal we couldn’t help but order a dessert. So, we finished off the night with Phyllo Wrapped brownie which was oh so good and a Lemon Poppyseed Cheesecake. Both were so delicious and worth ordering. Can’t wait to come back!

I have been to the location this restaurant has on the plaza, and I have to say that one is excellent, and I think this one is even better! The layout is a bit more spread out, and gives a more intimate feeling. The food was amazing, everything we had was top notch, our server was fantastic and overall we just had a lovely evening. The portions are huge, for the money there's easily two meals no problem. I'll definitely be going back, and definitely be having my leftover pork chop tomorrow!
