Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Cheddars out does itself with the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and southern style seasoned green beans. We ALWAYS must get the onion rings here (and we seldom ever get appetizers anywhere!). We don't do the regular "dessert" as we love the hot croissants with butter dripping off of them and that is our dessert. Light and so tasty. We've always had great service at this Cheddars (next to Oak Park Mall) and it's always packed with people - very popular place. No wonder because it's so reasonably priced and oh, so good. We both get the dinner portion of the chicken fried chicken (2 huge chicken breasts) and take 1/2 of it home as another meal. This is a family friendly place and one of our most favorites restaurants ever. Everything I've had at this Cheddars is excellent.

My family loves this place. We are here once a week if possible. I've also had work meetings here.

The prices are so reasonable for the quality and portions.

We almost always start with onion rings. The sampler platter isn't bad but not my favorite. My wife loves it more than I do. Preference rather than taste.

My go to is the blackened salmon. I'm not big on fish but I do enjoy their salmon. I've had most of their steaks and they are great too. The Baby back ribs are very tender. The smokehouse burger is awesome because it has crispy onions on it.

There is a triple chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert that is to die for.

Nice place. Nice servers????‍????. They even gave us complementary honey butter croissants ????because my chicken pot pie took forever to come out. I didn’t even notice it was taking long to be honest lol. ????‍♀️So that was nice. It tasted great and there was a lot of it. Can’t complain!

This location has always been a pleasant one to dine at. Chicken fried steak is delicious and well prepared I recommend getting it. In the evenings the week can be 20 to 30 minutes if not longer. However, they always see faster than the quoted time. Charles is a wonderful server and if you get him you will have excellent service. I recommended the apple crisp dessert as well.

Shocked at any bad reviews here. This place was great for a super cheap price! Portions were generous, well cooked, delicious. Our server was polite and prompt through out the entire meal. I liked the high back booth seats for more privacy. Must try the Honey Butter Croissants! To die for.
