Great all the way around. You would not want to go here if you are on a budget but the food and service provided is well worth the money.
Great for a date night as the ambiance is perfect. It got a little loud after 6:00 PM but still enjoyable experience.
Shrimp appetizer was perfectly fried and came with 2 great Sauces. Salad was pretty average. Swordfish was cooked absolutely great, sauce was spicy but good. The cake was super overwhelming but had lots of flavor
The ambiance was very romantic for our wedding anniversary. The server was also very nice and helpful with the menu. I got the fillet 4oz combo with 3 bourbon maple shrimp. I was underwhelmed when I saw how small the steak looked and it was well done not medium. It was also dry and needed a sauce. The shrimp was flavorful and tasty. The sides were good but nothing to rave about. My husband got the cajan spiced pan roasted fillet which was seasoned nicely but was very clean..small portions all around. The au gratin was lukewarm and the mushroom was on top of the steak and not really a side. The dessert of the 7 layer coconut cake was very moist and good but I don't care for the passion fruit coulis.
Late lunch for me so it was not crowded and food was served pretty quick. The steak sandwich was good. I wish baby back ribs could be more smoky instead. The portion was definitely huge, no kidding. They used to have a special lunch that came with kebab and rice but it wasn’t available that day.
My wife and I ate here for our annual New Year's Eve dinner. It wasn't the first time we've eaten aJ. Alexander's either. Just like every other time, they brought their A-game. The salad are all mixed and tossed, steaks were cooked perfectly, their Mac & Cheese is heavenly and the side of broccoli was perfectly cooked through but still had a little crunch to the stalk. My hat's off to the kitchen staff!
Every time we have visited, the wait staff is friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. They always seem to know exactly when to stop at the table for a drink refresher or the next course of the meal without making you wait to long or hovering. Also, unlike most other restaurants we have visited on NYE they didn’t give us a set amount of time before running is out. Instead, they let us sit at our table and enjoy our date night together.
Oh, I highly recommend the deviled eggs with camels bacon if it's on the menu when you go too.
