Torreador Mexican Restaurant

This little secret is a great place to eat if you can get there during the hours that it is open, which is sometimes a trick. It is also tucked back off the street and if you don't know what you are looking for it can be difficult to find. It is very small but the food is really pretty good for the price, the staff is attentive and it is very romantic because it is quiet and dark. The patio is fun in the summer. Overall I really like it but you have to appreciate it for what it is when you go there - small but mighty.

Two for one taco Monday’s are the way to go; two tacos for $2.50. Staff is friendly and the environment is comfortable and somewhat low light. Highly recommend for broke college kids wanting to get a bunch of decent tacos on the cheap (speaking from experience here).

For the price this is great food. I think I got 2 enchiladas and 2 hard shell tacos for $8. Plus a ton of free chips/ salsa. Sure it is a bit of a dive bar but if you go enough the owners become real friendly with you. This seems like a small town bar/ restaurant in the heart of a city. I'll be back for sure

Great food, charming people and quaint little space.. I see nothing wrong with this place and I'm not surprised it's been in business for over 30 years. I enjoyed 3 crispy pork tacos and I was far from being disappointed. Loved the heat and flavor. They were also topped with a lovely cheese shred. Enjoyed a margarita, top shelf and it was delightful as well. I would definitely come back. You should stop by, you won't be disappointed!!

You couldn't tell from the outside what this place has secreted away but this is truly a gem of Old Overland Park. The food here is fantastic. They take Mexican favorites and add a unique flavor to everything. The pork tacos had a nice spice to them. Refried beans were rich and flavorful. The service is excellent with the owner even coming by to refill our chips. Come here. You won't be disappointed.
