Playa Azul Authentic Mexican

Ate dinner here today because it was one of the few places that was open in Old Town - so literally turned the corner, saw the restaurant and took a chance.

The chips were good and the salsa was fresh and tasty. My wife had the beef taco salad and I had the steak ranchero. Both were very good and this is a solid choice for good Mexican food.

The staff was friendly and attentive so I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ate at the downtown location of Playa Azul this past Saturday evening with my significant other and another couple. We had a great experience. Got seated right away. Food was excellent. I had the enchiladas suizas (enchiladas stuffed with grilled chicken covered with a white sauce and pineapple chunks). Delicious. Would definitely order again. The three others said their food was good, also. Prices were comparable to other Mexican restaurants in Wichita. I can recommend Playa Azul.

Was awsome waitress was super cool. And the food was well priced the food actually looked like the one on the menu. Which sometimes you done get and the food was plenty. We got stake tacos. Waitress was attentive and made sure we always had water or anything else. My daughter also loved it as well. And was provided with like bowl so she can eat on her own. Great job. Loved it.

Pretty good variety of authentic mexican food. Fair pricing and good portions. They could definitely use more staff though but service was very good and polite just seemed a little stretched thin.
