“People, we need to be patient, mindful, and respectful to the people who work here. I worked in a McDonald's for two weeks and it wasn't a walk in the park. Meal times are challenging due to the amount of customers that need to be served within a limited amount of time. If you feel like getting angry at the people working here, you should try working there yourself, and see how you fare. If you consider yourself a Christian in any way, shape, or form, respecting and forgiving mistakes should be essential in your daily moral code. If you aren't a Christian, you can still act in an ethical manner and treat others with the respect and dignity they deserve as people serving us, but more so, as human beings. The biscuit they made me this morning and the coffee they brewed were both fresh and I was treated with utmost respect despite being aware that the preceding customer had been insulting to the employee. In conclusion, be more mindful, respectful, and kinder to those working to serve us. If you can't do this, then save everyone else the trouble and stay home, because whether you know it or not, those actions could have repercussions on how future customers are served.”

“I frequent this location for lunch and have picked up cupcakes for clients and ordered cakes for events. My guests are always thrilled with the cupcakes and cakes. Lunch at the cafe is typically for me to get some solitude away from the office. The cafe is darling, very comfortable, and not too noisy. I am addicted to their BLT...just the basics but put together perfectly...and soup. Today I had their tomato bisque for the first time. Delicious! I just wished I had ordered the grilled cheese today so I could dunk it in the soup. There are few places to eat in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, and this one would be a hit anywhere.”
