Kelvin and his family emigrated from the Dominican Republic and first settled down in New York City. Shortly after, Kelvin joined the military and was stationed in Fort Campbell. During his time on active duty, he constantly found himself craving food from home and was confident his peers would love it too. This sparked an idea to provide quality meals for soldiers everyday, and he began creating a business plan. His dream soon became a reality when he opened his food truck just 6 months ago. Authentic Dominican food was a hit with residents of Clarksville, so much so that Green Plantain won Taste of Clarksville's Best Burger and Best Seafood of 2022! The Sancocho (the stew in picture 1) is a Dominican classic and favorite. The Chicken Skewers were tender and juicy, accompanied by some perfectly crisp tostones. “Okay, so… I’ll say this. . . . Firstly.. all cobblers were sent in warm. Puddings were cold of course. If I could have one of these for life it would be the Sweet Potato Pecan cobbler (featured first). Yo, this is like thanksgiving in a cup! 2nd pic: Caramel Apple Cobbler- I like this! Definitely a beautiful combination of salty sweet and softness. I like how it wasn’t overly sweet! 3rd pic: Peach Cobbler- granted, that this is literally the name of the company. I feel like this one should’ve shined a bit more. It was good but didn’t seem special- and what I mean by “special” is.. it didn’t taste like yo granny made it especially for you kinda “special” know what I mean? 4 pic- Cinnamon Peach Praline: So this one really didn’t make my list but because I ordered it, it has to go last. When I first tasted it, I was really confused. First thought was: what flavor is this? Second thought: Dang, I ordered peach cobbler twice? Did I really order this? Wait.. this is not peach cobbler! It’s that Praline!! Lol The texture for me was a little bit tougher than the cobblers- not sure if it was supposed to be that way? It’s a Praline..(lemme go google what that is lol) it also was a tad bit sweeter than the cobblers I ordered. Ok, now to the puddings. I’ll skip right to the verdict… They all tasted like banana pudding with [insert topping/flavor] so.. I ordered… Nutella, Oreo, Red Velvet …. Banana pudding. The toppings were casted away by the banana flavor. I didn’t like those. I hope I explained my experience well. enjoy your experience here! Oh!! “Amazing food and drinks! My wife and I have been searching for an authentic Mexican spot since I was stationed at Fort Campbell last year. This place opened recently and it’s the only place we go now for Mexican food. We’ve came here about three times now since they’ve opened and this place is definitely the best Mexican food in town!! And on weekends they usually have birria and sometimes menudo too! The food has always been fresh and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommend this place if you love authentic Mexican food or if you’re Mexican and want a small taste of home!”

“This restaurant is amazing from the pasta bowls, to bake potatoes, appetizers, and homade cheesecake by Adam. The food has tremendous portions, great flavors and different combinations to choose from. Had Lemon white chocolate chip cheesecake tonight that melted in my mouth. It was one of the best homade desserts I have ever had. I had penne noodles with cheddar cheese sauce with hamburger meat and cheese. It was so filling and incredible flavor. It was a great price too super affordable for any budget. Not only that but the staff and owners have fantastic service and make you feel at home and become part of a family. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into it. Also, on Thursday they have trivia which is free to play and super fun. All of it together was a enjoyable fantastic experience.”

“This review was posted to the wrong Mapco location, I am reposting it to the correct location. Also I will note that the service has improved greatly since the original review which I only gave 1 star. Stopped here (Oak Grove KY store) on 1/23/22. Didn't see anyone when I walked in. Made my selection s and went to the counter. Employee on duty was sitting on box behind the counter playing with his mobile phone. Never greeted me, never even took his eyes off his phone as I stood there and waited. Left my item on the counter and walked out. As I was entering my car, he finally noticed me and looked at me as I left. Went down the road to Pilot where service was much better. Not a good way to run a business, paying employees to be inattentive, sitting down and ignoring customers.”

Their push to have everyone feel welcome, safe, and inviting was above and beyond what you see at any nightclub and bar venue. Lots of color, lights, amazing performances, DJs....
