“Took my grandson yesterday and he had a blast! Lots of climbing area, and a nice ballpit kept him entertained for a few hours! The bad points...equipment is getting a little worn, not unsafe though! The game area has just about as many broken games than those that work. It wasn't a problem since we didn't play the games yesterday anyway. Hours are weird. Call or look on website for times. Birthday party rooms are available. Concession stand and nice eating tables right on the other side of the play area. Price of admission $3.00 per hour, per child.”

“Prior to today I've had great experiences with Captain D's. I ordered creamy shrimp scampi for my son. When the employee was giving me the order, she opened the container and gave me a weird smile. Brushing the encounter off, I took the order home without checking it (an error on my part). His creamy shrimp scampi lacked cream (sauce). I called the restaurant (5x) to make them aware, the line was busy each attempt. I went back to Captain D's and asked for a replacement. The replacement had very little sauce, I request more and stated I would pay for the extra sauce. The employee who gave more sauce stated they aren't suppose to give more sauce because it's already portioned, but she went ahead and did it anyway. My recommendation is don't order the creamy shrimp scampi or be prepared to get a lecture if you ask for extra sauce.”

To answer the question of why the chicken or beef is tough and chewy: I believe that it boils down to profit. I will wait until either the culinary mindset or the management changes before I return. However to be fair, the restaurant was clean with a nice layout. The wait staff were polite and friendly. The point is, we go to restaurants to "good" to "great" food.”

“This is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Nothing bad here. Great food! Pizza is simple but tasty with good ingredients. Spaghetti (sauce) is incredible. Taco (Dorito) pizza is a must have. The Stroms are perfect (no onions tho.) The only thing better than this little place is the super nice and friendly people that own it. Its almost like your eating in their living room because its all family...4 generations. Its a slice of Americana in Madisonville. Dont miss it!”
