Beautiful lobby bar with great service and live piano music. A great place to have drinks and maybe get a snack. The Hot Brown was shockingly good and it's also gigantic -- easily shared amongst a group of four.
Very nice and professional servers. We had read reviews on the size of the famous Hot Brown sandwich and order half portions. They were huge, very cheesy but delicious. Everyone who visits Louisville must stop and try a Hot Brown.
Old world ambiance.
We were in Louisville for a concert and my wife's daughter said the Brown Hotel is a bar we must see.
We have stayed in a castle in Scotland and in a very old hotel in Paris this reminds me of the beautiful architecture.
I can't show the bar because I never asked people sitting at the bar for their permission.
The wine list is good. We ordered the hummus plate. The plate wasn't a dinky size like you get in many restaurants.
The plate had hummus, very tasty, pita bread and very fresh vegetables more than enough for two.
The manager stopped by and took pictures of us.there was a nice piano music playing on the piano, around 4:00 pm a talented pianist showed up and took requests.
Venues like this are disappearing fast.
Louisville is lucky to have the Brown.
Hot brown! Our server, Sam Y, was great, the pianist was great and the food was great. Lobster Mac and cheese was perfectly cooked. Very large portions. Amazing atmosphere and the bathrooms were spotless. The manager was kind enough to come over and give us a history behind the famous Hot Brown.
