Love the concept of Nostalgic and is a great date night spot right in our neighborhood! The cocktails are creative and so different from anything else I’ve seen before. I loved starting dinner with a beautiful, fresh salad and moving onto a delicious perfectly cooked steak. Onion rings remind me of an even tastier version of the ones I’d get at my favorite burger spot growing up. Gorgeous space and patio for dining Al fresco!
Apparently the owners of Nostalgic got the message about the menu and made some good changes in terms of prices & menu selection. I stopped by on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. Ordered the smash burger and fries, it was huge and cooked perfectly. Fries came with aioli, fresh out of the fryer. Next I ordered the coffee service for a dessert. A really nice tray featuring Quills Coffee and biscuits. Finishing everything off with the sour cherry nerd cocktail.
I was expecting a monster bill and it was actually $45. More than fair for all I had. The bartenders were super helpful and I found the crowd very nice. Add to that the very well done interior and patio, you feel like you are in Chicago or somewhere else. Can't wait to return!
Cocktails are well priced for the area. We had the truffle fries and I was surprised at how much we got. I was expecting a quarter of the amount for the price we paid. We will be back for dinner with friends. Our first trip was incredible. Happy hour all day on the Sunday we went but even the result drink prices were very reasonable for the area and atmosphere.
Fun riffs on childhood classics, whether it's a puff pastry hot pocket or a rice crispy treat cocktail. Atmosphere is almost speakeasy, which feels weird compared to the 90s nostalgia menu, but "Nostalgic" means different things to different people. Low marks for "value for money paid," which is why I won't be going back any time soon, but everything was tasty.
My friend and I dined at Nostalgic the week they opened. We grew up together and had not seen one another in years. Nostalgic was the perfect place for our dinner! We had such a great meal and enjoyed the service and atmosphere very much. We both had the Bibb salad and petite steak. We shared Brussel sprouts and the fondant sweet potato sides- AMAZING! We left stuffed!
I’ve been back with my husband and we had an equally great experience. I have another reservation with friends coming up that I very much look forward to. Definitely recommend!
