“Overall, it was very good. The place was clean, the service was wonderful, and the food came out in a fairly timely fashion. The only reasons I'm giving it a 4 star rating is because the kids meal is $5.99 which included 4 nuggets the Size of maybe a half dollar or smaller, like 6 fries, and a drink. I feel like for the price, there should have been at least a handful of fries in there. Another reason I'm giving it a 4 is because while I was there, we were only 1 of 3 vehicles there; yet someone managed to get the wrong food. Now I partially blame the customer for not paying attention; but also feel a "can I get a name for this order" seems to be necessary so that this doesn't happen. It would help food cost as well as they would not be remaking meals. The last reason I am giving it a 4, is because the onion rings were just okay. They weren't bad, they weren't good. They were just okay. Would I recommend this place? ABSOLUTELY! It is a great establishment for the small town of smithland and gives our youth somewhere to go and hang out and enjoy some food and ice cream.”

“Ok y’all, this is the Clucker with hand cut fries. It is EXCELLENT, marinated and cooked to perfection add a piece of bacon and some homemade honey mustard and you have a sandwich to die for! Seriously, one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had.”

“Great breakfast! They also do lunch. Closes at 2pm daily. This listing was previously erroneously identified as part of the clothing store chain with a similar name, which it is not.”

“Sweet place, I love all the flowers and ambiance. The food was amazing. I had a waffle with peaches was so good, I didn't even need syrup. He had the breakfast casserole and sourdough toast. I tasted it, and it was also really great. Very sweet people too. Highly recommend. Steve gave us a lot of information about the area. Irene was an adorably sweet woman, and you can tell she's poured her heart into her business. 10 out of 10, stop by for breakfast or lunch. *As always, please tip at least 20٪ or more.”

“The folks running the place are really nice and accomodating. Unfortunately, they needed to be. Our house boat had engine trouble 100 feet from the dock. They got one of the two engines running and sent us on our way. The rest of boat was also in need of some basic maintenance. Ceiling fans didn't work, fridge didn't seal, ac filter was clogged, grill propane tank was empty, etc... Our Mystic boat was cool, but needed some work. I have to suggest trying another lake/houseboat rental with better maintained boats.”

“This is a small restaurant located in downtown Grand Rivers. The food is way awesome and everyone that works there is very friendly and they go out of their way to please their customers. This restaurant is very affordable to dine at. They use all fresh stuff in their preparation of their food. They offer breakfast, lunch and on weekends even supper. They offer variety of different sandwiches, soups , catfish, and sides. Their tunafish is way awesome. Will definitely be back!”

“We are so glad we chose this place for our anniversary on 10/5. We ordered the Rib eye Special. It was cooked perfectly, our service was amazing, everyone there was so professional and extremely kind. Restaurant was very clean (bathrooms too)! Everything about our experience was enjoyable. We were only in town for the weekend, but we will make it a special point to return to this place.”

“Hunter's Cafe is literally the only place to eat around these parts unless you want to hit the gas station a few miles down the road. The food is always good, home-cooked and served by experienced and attentive servers. You can't go wrong with the breakfasts, the country ham is really good. The place is immaculate, and has down home appeal. I only wish they had a bigger lunch menu, more healthy options and more salads. Please add a stuffed tomato with chicken salad and fresh fruit :-)”

“Had a great time here at this resort! We rented a few houses for our family reunion and they all had beautiful views of the lake. The staff was also very nice! Driving golf carts around the community and even to the grocery store was a lot of fun. The have restaurants located at the resort which was convenient for nights you don't want to cook. You can also rent a boat which is what we did and it was a lot of fun!”

“A lovely little breakfast/lunch place right on the water with indoor, screened porch or open air seating. The breakfast menu has traditional as well as more interesting options. The only negative was that my dish was served cold, but they remedied that quickly. Everything we had was really good. My son, the picky eater, didn't like one of his sides and they quickly replaced it with the seasoned potatoes he loved. We were there mid-week in summer, so I can't speak to the delays some customers have had. We did meet the new manager, so maybe they have worked out the kinks.”

“Discovered this restaurant after a competitor turned us away 20 minutes prior to closing time! The service was very good, the chicken fingers very good and the side salad very good! The thing I LOVE about this restaurant is the fact that every review has been read and remarked on by a manager or owner. This is very impressive and indicates a willingness to want to improve the restaurant and provide a pleasing experience to the customer while dining here! Well done, Thirsty Turtle Mgmt!!”

“Great local restaurant! Pork was moist and tasty! Waitress was adorable and Very Polite! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is a veggie is needed on the menu (besides coleslaw). Green beans, perhaps?! Overall great experience!”
