“I started coming here when it was called Jamestown Cafe. I am sad to say under that name the cafe was far less then stellar in their final years. As the People's Cafe the interior is clean and bright, there are always friendly fast staff that also treat you like family. And that's the cherry on top of a sundae of yummy food, epic portions, and homemade deserts. The people including the regular patrons are a wonderful example of why we were happy to move to this area. Friendly, kind people always willing to share a smile and a laugh or two. Visit them even it's a drive, it's worth it. The pictures are of the Funnle Cake Straws and my Hubs insisted I include a pic of his homemade Red Velvet cake.”

“Rented a 78’ house boat and had a great adventure. The lake is beautiful and plenty of private coves to tie off in. Great family vacation. You will need some young capable hands to climb the shore line to tie off the boat. No anchors as the water is to deep. The boats are roomy but the cabins for sleeping are small. We have completed 3 separate trips over the years. Always a good time.”

“The special tonight was Brisket and Pulled Pork. I had the Pulled Pork and Cole Slaw. The Pulled Pork was tender and well cooked and served with a sweet BBQ sauce and the Cole Slaw was creamy Mayo slaw. Very good meal. Home made pies for dessert.”
