“We were looking for a place to get off the highway for a while and have one last great meal in Louisiana. We read some reviews for Cassandra's Louisiana Kitchen online and thought it sounded great. We arrived a little before 1:00 PM on a Sunday and the after church crowd was there, all dressed so nicely from attending church. While the parking lot was pretty full we were able to get a table right away. Our waitress was one of the sweetest people we met on our trip. She was kind and very helpful. We asked a couple of questions, got our drinks and placed our order for food. It you are looking for some home cooking at a restaurant Cassandra's is the place. I got the spicy smothered shrimp. The portion was very generous and the shrimp were beautiful and cooked perfectly to make the a real treat. The gravy they were smothered in was delicious and had just the right amount of spice to make it flavorful but not too hot. Also at our table I got to try the shrimp and grits which tasted great with well cooked grits and great flavors. I easily could have had a full plate of the shrimp and grits, and would definitely order it in the future. My wife ordered the burger and thought the burger was delicious. In fact she was still talking about the burger miles down the road as we were back on the highway. If you want to eat some great southern soul food then be sure to visit Cassandra's Louisiana Kitchen.”

My order was taken, suggestions were asked and my total was given Upon arriving at the window a new trainee took my money and repeated order and asked if I needed any condiments, all with a smile, I asked to speak to the young man who took my order so that I may compliment them on their excellent service and customer friendly attitude. Only complaint I have is the staff doesn't have the best attitude. I almost had words with a young man working the register because he couldn't be patient while I placed my order.
