“Definitely an intimate date setting or formal business meeting dinner type of feel. The lighting is dark inside, and the music is softly playing in the background. I came here with a group of old friends, and we had great time! The food and service were impressive! I ordered the fried chicken with collard greens and cornbread. I have to admit, these were the best collard greens and fried chicken I’ve ever had. However, the location of the restaurant was hidden and somewhat hard to find. The prices were a bit more expensive than I was anticipating considering the location of the restaurant.”

“Rock-n-sake is a fun restaurant. They usually have music playing and it’s loud enough to actually heat but not so loud that you can’t talk with your friends or family. The food is great! Waiters are very nice. We’ve been many times and will continue to go. Only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 was because our entrees were a bit slow coming out. We weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t a major problem and the hostess did apologize before we could comment on it.”

“The restaurant was opened in 2019 and the name "BLDG 5" refers to the place being the fifth building on a quiet property. The services of restaurant include dine in, curbside pick up, and delivery. But the delivery is only for a $100 order. Their menu is extensive and is revised daily. They accept reservations only for a group of 6 persons or more. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery and there are spaces for private dining and an outdoor deck bar. They also have prepared meals to go or for daily delivery. The place can be used for private and social events and they also have cooking classes and catering. I ordered steak for lunch but the steak was not a good cut of the meat and as tender as I expected. They have no dessert menu.”

“My favorite Baton Rouge restaurant. It seems like every meal I've had there has been memorable with either the food, or the people, usually both making it a consistently enjoyable evening. It's very casual, yet there's a sophistication that's unique and hard to describe. (BTW, for me, sophistication to describe a restaurant would often be synonymous with "stuffy"; truly not in this case; again, difficult to properly describe). The fish with Italian salsa is consistently outstanding and highly recommended. A bit expensive, but not unreasonable considering the quality. Looking forward to my next visit.”
