Very nice Mexican market. Been in there several times and always been treated great. If ur in a hurry u might wanna go somewhere else. But sat. Even the owner/manager was on a register.

La Ideal on Sherwood Forest Baton Rouge is the Best. Today I was helped by Mr. Alfredo Santos. I spoke with Mr. Santos Yesterday. Told him that my husband is on dialysis 3 times a week. I am in a walker. To make it short: Mr. Santos brought to my car the beef soup( amazing), Carne Asada plate ( delicious) & 10 fresh conchas. The food & services at La Ideal in Sherwood Forests Baton Rouge are the outstanding. Today , after dialysis, I gave my husband 1/2 beef soup. After the first spoon, he looked at me with a big smile. I knew then that the soup was delicious.

I am from Wisconsin and it’s hard to find good food. This food was great. You get a lot of food for the price. The steak is delicious! The beans are delicious and the rice outstanding! I will be back.

This is a Hispanic market,great cooked food selection. Amazing bakery (delicious tres leches cake). Can find any fresh fruit or vegetable that has to be imported here.

Good Hispanic market, you can get many items not found in regular grocery stores. The fruit and vegetables are less expensive here that many of the regular stores. They try to keep it clean and most of the time it is.
