I love the food here, and I hate to leave a bad review but I feel like this is such a basic thing that should not be happening repeatedly, so hopefully my review will correct things. The past two times we have ordered soups to go, the tops of the containers have been left open or not properly closed, so by the time we get home the soup is all over the bag and the car.
Compared to a few years ago, the restaurant is so much improved! Everything was clean and dusted. The employees were very friendly and ordering was easy. Our food and coffee were delicious. We'll be back!!!
We've gone here a couple of times now for breakfast and it has been very good. You can get a menu either at the door or right at the point where you order and the selection is pretty good and always fresh. The process (for sit-down - they also do takeaway) is that you order at the counter that has the sliverware and trays and you can pick up small things right there. Then you go down and pay and you get a wooden paddle that lets the staff bring your order to you at the table. You pour your own coffee (dark roast, medium roast, decaf) or tea, head to your table and the food arrives quickly. It's not too crowded in the mornings - except for the Sunday crowd - and they have the standard free WiFi. Overall, a nice place.
WOW!! I am in awe! Sweet perfection! The pesto pasta was rich and full of flavor. Mini banquettes are perfect sized and taste delicious! The coconut cream cake is so moist and delicious it’s to die for!!
What a experience!! I walked in immediately love the decor, it looked like a French cafe. The customer service was great everyone was so nice. The bathrooms were so clean and alot of French decor. The food I got was the chicken friand( may have spelled that wrong) it was a chicken puff pastry absolutely great. Also my wife got French toast, not sure what bread they used but it was good also fresh strawberries on top. Last we got dessert, I had the pecan tart that was the first time having this I was blown away. I highly recommend eating here when visiting baton rouge!!
