I think Omi is a great value but very misunderstood. The food is authentic and the contents of each dish is very fresh. GO if you want REAL Chinese dishes, expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and are a vegetarian. DON'T GO if you can't use chopsticks, ask for a spicy dish but then complain it is too spicy and don't go if you want $100 worth of ambience and a $12 meal. Just order from one of the franchise food mills.

Best authentic Chinese in Baton Rouge. Staff is always friendly, one of the best kept secrets.

Sweet and sour pork is always delicious.

I love the Chinese food in Omi!! They offer both Japanese and Chinese but I always come here for some good authentic Chinese food in Baton Rouge. They are always open until 10pm which saves me a lot when I get off super late and are super hungry and don't want to cook at home. They usually are not too busy so when you walk in you can sit anywhere. Their interior is family friendly and while it's not as modern as many restaurant I don't mind it, they haven't changed in years and it feels comfortable for me. Some dishes can be oily and salty but there are plenty of dishes that is not so depending on your taste, it be wise to ask the waitress for recommendation and if you wanted less salty. Some of my favorite dishes include house eggplant (favorite veggie bowl), Omi pork (braised pork with potato in a pot), spicy crispy intestine (fried intestine if you want to try something different), Chinese bbq lamp skewers (meat skewers with spices), and more. I do recommend to try different things here to see what you like and it's a great place for gatherings that wants a bit more authentic Chinese food in town.

Not the best or cleanest looking interior, but the absolute best bang for your buck if you want sushi. It's the only place I've been to that offers hot pot, and it's pretty good. You can get to go sushi and whatnot and just swing by to pick it up
