Solid preparation of classic dishes. The crab cakes are excellent, served with sauce on the side (more restaurants should do this instead of smothering them). For the price I would like to see something a little more unique on the menu, but everything we ordered was done well if not exciting or extraordinarily interesting.
I started with a Mambo Mule which is a seasonal drink- think a winter Moscow Mule. It had a cinnamon spice flavor and was loaded with cranberries. It was pretty special! The appetizer was stuffed oysters, and they too were great. The oysters were fresh, and the stuffing was perfectly spiced.
Lagniappe is some of the best and most unique seafood in BR. The dishes are always creative. Everything I've had here is good. We went over a month ago, and I honestly don't remember the names of our dishes. Mine was a tuna steak wrapped in bacon with crabmeat on top. Highly recommend this restaurant
The food was rich and tasty but it left me thinking how much I'd have to work out for the next week to burn off the calories. I hoped to find something a little lighter but gave in and went with a fried fish entree. The servers were very attentive and friendly.
I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE CHICKEN ACADIAN. The seafood gumbo and stuffed mushroom for appetizers were great, too.
The ? strawberry cheesecake was a tasty dessert. Do not order the pecan pie unless you like your pecan pies heavily piled with pecans and...tasteless.
