“Was so happy to come across this store by mistake one day, instead of havig to stop at Big Boys down the road. Much nicer employees. If only they stayed open later or 24 hours at least my life would be a lil bit smoother. And prob other ppls bc I can't be the only person who feels disrespected at their competition down the road. I will always go here first compares to store down the road even tho that other store is closer for me.”

“The new Chick fil A is wonderful. It's really big, from one end to the other. We dined in. The 2 lines were backed up almost to the entrance. I guess they should have made 3. It was clean and people nice.”

“Wow! Tough to put it away to enjoy later! In the picture is a portion of chicken and a portion of beef boudin! Way healthier than the pork for ones physical and spiritual being. Phenomenal texture and muxture! Haven't had boudin in a while, I do not remember it tasting so dang good!!! Great job! DO YOU SHIP TO FLORIDA? Although it is worth the drive back that way… we'll likely see you again soon.”

“My wife and I took a friend when they first opened and unfortunately, both our burgers were over cooked to well done, even though the Menu said we could order our desired doneness. She was medium rare and I was medium. Both came out well done +. Our friend ordered a fish sandwich which he enjoyed. The service was attentive and courteous so we wrote our experience off to just being open for a month. We were excited to have another restaurant at Couret Farms. Experience #2 was my wife and a friend. They got the same overcooked results. #3-Three months have gone by and my wife is out of town. I ordered the large eight ounce burger, cooked medium. For a burger of that thickness, it does not take a 5 Star Chef to take it off the grill early. Again it was cooked overly well done AGAIN! I now have two unfortunate conclusions; 1. Compared to other eight ounce burgers (Swanky’s. & Burger-smith, The burger at The Original Patti are considerably thinner. Of course overcooking a burger will reduce its pre cooked weight. My suspicion is their burger is underweight pre cooked. 2. My other suspicion is all of the burgers at The Original Patti are pre cooked and then heated back up on the grill when ordered. The service has always been courteous and professional. The burgers are nicely seasoned and the toppings are fresh, as are the. buns. The problem is how the burgers are cooked. Not a recipe for sustainable success.”

“Food is always amazing! Best bang for your buck in the city! Stellar quesabirria tacos. Barbacoa and Pastor are my regular everyday go to. I live a half of a mile away from this taco truck and eat there 2-3 times per week. It has never disappointed.”

“2/16/22 So for my first time here i found it a bit hit or miss. I thought the chips with a spicy cheese sauce was great and different since most places serve salsa. They only have one size margarita and honestly I wish it was bigger, I can’t stand the type of glasses they use for them. I had the Barbacoa and a pork street taco, both were terrific I liked them and look forward to having them again. But the gorditas on the other hand just wasn’t good for me. They were a corn bready shell fried with hard crispy bits in places and soft cornbread areas that were a bit dry. I barely could taste the proteins in them because the shell was just so much. On the last one I opened the shell and just ate the inside. Authentic or not I just didn’t like it. I also had the fried plantains. I liked the unique direction with the condensed milk topping but I could hardly tell if the plantains were fried. They certainly were hot. I just wasn’t a fan of it and have enjoyed fried plantains a few times before elsewhere. I also had the Horchata drink, it was good, maybe heavy on the cinnamon. I enjoyed one elsewhere and it was a milder drink. I would like to try more on the menu because I think the potential is there. There has to be more to like since I loved the tacos. The service was good, generally a clean restaurant. Big place with a big bar. I’ll update next time.”

“It was ok, I definitely think the food could be seasoned way more. Me and my husband got the Turkey wing plate lunch and it was a little on the bland side, the Mac and cheese tasted like a “quick instant” Mac and cheese. I would definitely like to see more flavor and seasonings, especially for the prices on these plate lunches ! Laura’s 2 cafe definitely beats for flavor and spice !”

“Authentic Chinese at its finest! Shrimp fried noodles are excellent. The noodles have great texture (not spaghetti) and are not swimming in brown sauce. Shrimp is clean and cooked perfectly. Cold spicy sesame noodles are an excellent, almost refreshing appetizer. Scallion pancakes are flaky and crispy and some of the best I’ve tasted. Dry fried string beans are one of my favorite dishes. It’s simple, but delicious. There’s a hint of Sichuan peppercorn and a hint of salt. The slight char and natural flavors of the beans come through. The beans keep their shape and texture (cooked but not flaccid). Lastly, the cumin beef was to die for! The beef was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Some places put too much cumin, which can give an almost chalky texture, but not here! If you’re a fan of spicy, be sure to ask for more heat. They err on the side of caution, but will gladly accommodate for those who want more spice. As you can tell, this is NOT Americanized Chinese like you find everywhere else. This food has a much deeper and more complex flavor profile than the sweet/sour/brown sauce savory generic notes that most of us are used to. If you’re looking to try something new, give them a try. While some things on the menu might not be familiar, it is still very approachable and more than worth a try.”

“Favorite easy spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner for myself and my whole family. The food and the service never disappoint. Once you've been more than once then you feel like you are part of the family, being greeted warmly by the same familiar kind faces on every visit. The entire staff is engaging, as opposed to other places where the only person that acknowledges you is your server. If I'm eating out in the Oil Center, then I'm at Hub City Diner!”
