“I'a local. First time in a sit-down restaurant in so long because of COVID. Tables way stretched out. It wasWierd looking. Menu severely reduced, but that's a good thing, I think. My wife Had the fried shrimp special $9.95. It was very good and looked good too. I had the 17.00 fried catfish. It seemed like a rather skimpy helping of catfish for $17, but it was still good. Side salads were cool and crispy. Even the bowls were chilled. Get the house permesan vinegarette. It is great.”

“A beautiful taste of modern Italian cuisine in the lovely town of Carencro! Beautiful decor matched with splendid service. Great for date night! The only downside, if you can call them that, is the portion size and how rich the food is. The prices are a little steep only because of the extremely high quality of the food and the enormous portion sizes! Even on an empty stomach, I had plenty of food left over for dinner that night. Five stars. I will be back.”

“I had never been to a Dickey's before, but I will be back. I have dined at a lot of BBQ places but this is the best one hands down that I can remember in my life. The brisket was tender, had great flavor and the BBQ sauce is fantastic. I had mac and cheese and fried okra for my two sides and both were perfect. It's a little more than your standard fast food burger combo but it is absolutely worth it. Dickey's in Carencro is the best BBQ, no question.”

“I've been to Cooney's about 6 times in the last 2 crawfish seasons and I loved it everytime. Good flavor. Great job on the corn. I haven't tried any of the other sides besides the potatoes. I would recommend Cooney's. Some of the best 'store bought' crawfish I've had. Better than a lot of people's home boils too.”

A quick trip into Lafayette for a home search and someone recommended this place as closest but that they had also heard everyone saying how good it was..... that rumor is absolutely correct. You could lay out a five course meal of multiple options and many desserts from just their daily routine menu. Definitely Mommas home cooked meal style and a perfect tribute to the culture of the South. Great service, great food and at a great price! I will definitely be pulling off of I-10 at I49 more often to visit this tiny place with big results! Thank you to all of this staff for a pleasant and amazing lunch.”
