Shrimp po boy was tasty, but the gumbo was way too thick and was more like an etouffee/stew. My biggest thing is... why on God's earth was it $31 for ONE full size po-boy, what I would call a side of gumbo (pitched as a bowl), and a small side of red beans and rice?
I like supporting local businesses, but this was too expensive. It didn't even feed two people full for $15 each with the sodas. It needed to be a cool $5-$7 less.
Delicious hot super fresh overstuffed seafood trifecta pi-boy and hot fries.
OMG. Wonderful. So many oyster. And shrimp that several were on plate because bread couldn’t hold them all. The French bread was hot and crunchy light and airy. Exactly like it should be.
Loved it. Clean place, clean restroom, very nice lady at counter.
Highly recommend this place.
The gumbo was smaller sized, but was thick enough to eat with a fork. They may have larger sizes for the sides, didnt remember. . The shrimp and crawfish diane looks awesome. It was a larger portion size. I had to tap. It was alot of food for me even after enzymes... Anyway I recommend
I love a good Roast Beef Po-boy and Parran's has the best I've found other than Parkway Tavern. Gumbo is delicious too! We stop in most every Friday for lunch and haven't had a bad meal yet....
Great stop for sandwiches, gumbo, and other fare. We split the trifecta Meatball-Shrimp-Roast beef combo and a bowl of gumbo. Outstanding chow, I believe their are three Parran's locations. Beer & wine, soda fountain, great iced tea.
