This little diner is great. We were in the area and saw it on the side of the highway. The owner/chef is so friendly and willing to please. He has a "secret sauce" that is absolutely devine. He provided a sample of his sauce over crab cakes and we were in heaven!
The wait staff was prompt and friendly as well. Our food was delivered hot and fresh.
Atmosphere is casual and the restaurant is clean and well lit. The menu offers sufficient delectable seafood and cajun selections.
There is ample parking and convenient to the highway.
This little diner is a definite jewel, don't miss it. We visit the area once a year for fishing and will return here to have Chef Thompson cook up our fresh catch. Great place.

Thompson's Kitchen has the best boiled shrimp I've ever eaten. The calamari is so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. Seafood is fresh from the boat. The owner is super friendly and goes above and beyond.

I love this place! If I could give them 10 stars I would! The food is really good and a lot of it
The prices are good. Waitresses work hard and are very kind. The owner Shawn (spelling??) is awesome! I know his name because he makes sure to introduce himself and welcome you. It's like waking in and seeing family you love. He cares about his customers and their opinions. I'm not going to say in what ways. There are many but if you visit you will know exactly what I'm taking about the first time you go. I work long hours so I will visiting several times a week. They are open for Breakfast. lunch and dinner. Try it!!! You won't regret it and might find your new favorite spot like we did!

After checking out Fort Jackson we stopped here for lunch.
This place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was great. If you're in the area give them a try, definitely a local spot where everyone knows each other.
Husband had the combo po'boy 1/2 oysters and other 1/2 shrimp 🍤 he enjoyed it. I had fried catfish and that too was very good,

Don't let the humble exterior fool you. This place has AMAZING seafood. It may look like just a roadside diner, but the food is divine. The oysters are so fresh, they'll slap you in the face! My husband will tell you that shrimp are my favorite thing, and while they were good the oysters blew them out of the water. Definitely stop by in the afternoon for charbroiled oysters and crawfish!

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean. The prices were a little steep but worth it for the quality of the food. Sitting outside to eat felt wonderful, especially since it was 30° when we started our trip yesterday, and it is a delightful 82° with a lovely breeze today. Totally worth the drive!
